sladesounds 11th Nov 2015		I must admit I too had forgotten about this show but could, as soon as I saw this entry, sing the theme tune....."it's time for national service men, so get some in".... I must have watched more rubbish TV in my teens than I usually admit too

Neil Forbes 15th May 2015		Brian Pettifer moved on eventually to Hamish(?) - Wouldn't you just know it.... Try to remember a favourite show and the lead character's last name escapes you? Frustratin', ain't it? I do remember it had Robert Carlisle - just now remembered! Just as I typed in the lead actor's name it hit me(ouch!) "Hamish MacBeth". Pettifer played a local storekeeper in that show. Anyone remember?

biffbampow 12th May 2015		5 series isn't a bad run, but I must admit, I've never heard of this series until now which goes to prove how it's ended up being buried.



RadoxTheGreen 12th May 2015		Tony Selby thought this series would be as popular and long running as Dads Army. Unfortunately, the less than PC comments of the character he played have consigned this series to remain on the shelf with the exception of a very heavily edited UK Gold re-run.
