Reality television series about a pawnbroker shop called American Jewelry and Loan in Detroit, Michigan's on 8 Mile Road. It's owned by Les Gold who one day whats to hand it over to his son Seth and daughter Ashley but there bickering in front of customers and staff makes Les wonder if they can run the business when he retires. It has been criticized for being scripted. Shown in America on TruTV and in the UK on Lifetime TV. There have been 9 series with 160 episodes to date.
