Like a handful of other series, the final episode featured a character-breaking "curtain call" in which the studio audience was shown applauding the cast members. It was only during this sequence that actor Earl Hindman, who as Wilson always kept part of his face hidden as part of a series-long running joke, revealed his face on camera.
