Notes

Animated series inspired by a live-action fantasy sequence in the 1984 film The Muppets Take Manhattan (although some online sources say the series was commissioned due to public interest in the sequence, this is not possible as only two months elapsed between the release of the film and the debut of the series.)

At 8 seasons and more than 100 episodes produced, it is one of the longest-running Saturday morning animated series in US TV history.

For part of the 1985 season, the series was retitled Muppets, Babies & Monsters and incorporated a second series, Jim Henson's Little Muppet Monsters, but the series soon reverted to the original title. At one point the show aired 90-minute episodes.
