Notable for its setting (and sometimes its characters) crossing over into multiple shows, including sci-fi and fantasy. Notably, the series featured several crossovers with the mystery series Crossing Jordan. The soap opera Passions (a fantasy series that at one point featured characters from the 1960s sitcom Bewitched) also featured characters from Las Vegas. Other series using the casino as a setting included Heroes, Knight Rider (2008), Medium, Monk, Stargate Atlantis and one episode made a reference to characters from The Office. A more formal crossover with Knight Rider was planned but was dropped due to the cancellation of both the revival of Knight Rider and Las Vegas.

Notable for being released in two versions: a standard broadcast TV version and a more racy DVD-only version. Due to music licensing, different parts of the world heard different theme songs; in the US original, a remix of the 1968 Elvis Presley recording A Little Less Conversation was featured.
