Produced by MTV, Liquid Television was an animation showcase anthology series with no regular host or cast, though numerous cartoon segments recurred during the show's run. Three seasons were initially produced between 1991 and 1994. In the early 2010s, Liquid Television was relaunched as an online network and in 2014 two new episodes of the series were released.

Two segments spawned spin-off series: Beavis & Butt-Head and Aeon Flux (with both, in turn, spawning feature films). One segment, Office Space, inspired a live-action film of the same title.
