TV Series
Notes This detective series changed format after the first season. Initially, the series was almost science fiction in nature, with Mannix working for a firm called Intersect that used computers to solve crimes (not too unlike the later Person of Interest). Afterwards, however, the series changed to a more standard private eye series of the Mike Hammer variety. Mike Connors later reprised the role of Joe Mannix for an episode of the 1990s series Diagnosis: Murder which was a direct sequel to an early episode of Mannix. Robert Reed had a recurring role as a police lieutenant that ran concurrent with his starring role on the sitcom The Brady Bunch. Comments and Reviews
