This short-lived (14-episode) series was one of several attempts by US networks to replicate the success of Mad Men by setting series in the early 1960s and tied to identifiable brands (The Playboy Club being one example), in this case the adventures of flight crew members working for the now-defunct airline.

Prior to cancellation, the network took the unusual move of allowing the first nine episodes to be distributed online in the US in order to promote the series.
