In some ways this was "Play School" for slightly older kids since it featured many presenters from the earlier show but this had a totally different character altogether for once it found it's feet it was pretty much a slapstick show with musical numbers, comedy sketches and a barrage of groansome puns.

It's presenters seemed to change each series but Brian Cant was the omnipresent member from beginning to end. The presenters included in addition to those listed above, Derek Griffiths, David Arthur, Chloe Ashcroft, Floella Benjamin, Carole Chell, Julie Covington, Miranda Connell, Anita Dobson (according to IMDB!), Nerys Hughes, Rick Jones, Tony Robinson and Julie Stevens to name the bulk of them.

Unfortunately, though 191 editions were made, the BBC wiped 131 of them... and the damning thing is, it's believed most were wiped as late as the early 1990's when the then head of Childrens BBC made the inexplicable decision to have a whole chunk of it's vintage kids TV material wiped... the galling thing being, much of it survived the legendary wipings of the 70's but thanks to one idiot thinking he was cutting costs, tons of stuff got nuked.
