Notes

Running for just one series of 13 episodes between 10th September 1960 to 3rd December 1960, "Police Surgeon" was in various ways a prequel to "The Avengers" in that in involved various people involved in the later series, most notably Ian Hendry. In some ways "The Avengers" started as a revamp of this series. A straightforward crime drama, just one episode - the first - remains in the archives which has Michael Crawford in one of his earliest TV roles.
