Notes

Detective series created by Blake Edwards (later of Pink Panther fame). Originally a radio series that ran from 1949 to 1953 with Dick Powell in the lead role. Later revived for television with a new cast.

The third season featured an early acting role by Mary Tyler Moore as Sam, whose face was never seen on screen. Moore was replaced by another actress for the final season.

Four TV seasons were produced, with the show switching from CBS to NBC at one point.
