A followup to the radio series Challenge of the Yukon. Filmed in colour, it was one of the very first internationally broadcast scripted TV series to be set in Canada. Three seasons were produced.

Simmons was the only ongoing human cast member. Preston shared his adventures with his dog, Yukon King, and Rex the Horse.
