Early episodes carried the title "Neil Simon's The Odd Couple".

Based upon the stage play and 1968 film.

Followed by a number of remakes: an animated series (The Oddball Couple) began soon after the original series ended, The New Odd Couple aired during the 1982-1983 season, and another version of The Odd Couple debuted as a midseason replacement in early 2015.

Klugman and Randall reprised their roles for TV commercials in the 1980s, and in 1993 they appeared in a reunion TV movie The Odd Couple: Together Again.
