Running for 20 years, The Red Skelton Show remains one of the longest-running comedy-variety series in US prime time history. Skelton was the only regular for most of the run, though for the final season, when the series moved from CBS to NBC, several other regulars appeared.

Broadcast briefly as The Red Skelton Revue in the mid-1950s, and the title was changed to The Red Skelton Hour in the early 1960s. Early episodes displayed the shorter title Red Skelton.
