Shorty after the cancellation of The Tim Conway Show he came back in a new comedy series. The Tim Conway Comedy Hour was a comedy variety series that first premiered on CBS on September 20, 1970. The series featured the trademark off beat humor of Tim and his cast.

The series aired on Sunday nights from ten to eleven which didn’t helped with the series win an audience (Tim was always very popular with kids). The series was equally unsuccessful as his last, both only on for 13 episodes. This prompted Tim in real life to get a new license plate for his car that said “13 WKS”.
