A followup to the 1967 series Max The 2000 Year Old Mouse. Produced in 5-6 minute minisode format to air between other shows, Professor Kitzel alternated between still images depicted by historical events described by a narrator and animated segments involving Kitzel and a time machine he uses to view them. Soles was also involved in Max, but in this series he voices both the characters seen on screen and narrates (the narrator of Max, Bernard Cowan, was involved in the production of Kitzel nonetheless).
