YankeeDisc SUBS 10th Feb 2017		Our family never had a television before 1957, and I recall seeing a few episodes of Topper, so they must have been bought in by BBC television for UK airing at a later date, or as repeats. There was only one other UK television network in 1957, Independent Television ITV. I do recall watching some of HM Queen Elizabeth II coronation in June 1953 on a tiny television screen with a free-standing large magnifier glass screen placed in front, at a neighbours house.
