RadoxTheGreen 4th Nov 2022 | | TVAn Audience With Freddie Starr (1996) | The thing is as you say, the "Audience With" series. There are 54 episodes and five 30 year specials and while some shows may be more memorable than others, IMO "An Audience With..." should be entered as the whole series, not each individual show getting their own entry.

RadoxTheGreen 4th Sep 2022 | | TVShe-Hulk: Attorney At Law (2022) | Actually, scrub that, the end titles credit the actor as playing She-Hulk so I've changed it back.
|
RadoxTheGreen 4th Sep 2022 | | TVShe-Hulk: Attorney At Law (2022) | Although the Marvel Wiki page refers to "She-Hulk" the title screen from Marvel Studios has the She underlined instead, which would make this series title "She Hulk". I've amended details to match the title screen but can change it back if people feel strongly about it.

RadoxTheGreen 29th Oct 2017 | | TVChildren Of The Stones (1977) | This was a scary series right enough, but not as scary as the editing job they did on the VHS release of this show. How anyone could have passed that for release astounds me. Basically, instead of releasing it as individual episodes they put all the episodes together into one single story... complete with all the episode recaps so you would suddenly have the action jump back to the previous scene without warning. The video wasn't cheap to buy either as I recall.

RadoxTheGreen 21st Nov 2015 | | TVDoctor Who (1963 - Now) | A new 8 episode spin off series "Class" (written by Patrick Ness) will air in the spring of 2016 on BBC3. As the channel relauches as a web service in January and stops TV broadcasting in March, Class will be a web only series. It will be set in Coal Hill School, first seen in 1963 in the first ever Doctor Who episode "An Unearthly Child", and latterly in Doctor Who where a Clara is working as a teacher.

RadoxTheGreen 11th Sep 2015 | | TVThe Tomorrow People [2013] (2013 - 2014) | They also had a mellower version of the original show's theme as incidental music in at least one episode. As a reinvented version I quite liked it (certainly more than the reinvented Prisoner), it would have been good to see where they were going with it if it had continued.

|
RadoxTheGreen 11th Aug 2015 | | TVBird Of Prey 2 (1984) | Bird of Prey was a 4-episode mini-series. This is the sequel. Bird of Prey was only ever intended to be a one off story. The sequel had to be freshly written due to favourable viewing figures and BBC pressure to bring back Henry Jay, hence the two year gap between shows. IMO it should be a separate entry; it's a sequel in the same way that A Very Polish Practice is a sequel to A Very Peculiar Practice.
Basically, Bird of Prey was about pen pusher Henry Jay uncovering a Europe-wide conspiracy on his incredibly huge 64k computer, which took up half the room and was described by the salesman as "portable" (but had to be delivered as it wouldn't fit in Henry's car).
Bird Of Prey 2 was the story of Henry running for his life from the crooks revenge. It contained a plot twist at the end (spoilers!) which didn't sit well with me as it seemed totally ludicrous that his wife would be involved in that way.

RadoxTheGreen 8th Aug 2015 | | TVOrbit (1974) | You're probably right about it being only local, Zabadak. Back then ITV had a lot more regional broadcasts than they do today. Saturday mornings would be turned over to the local stations to do their own children's shows. The "moan rocket" would deliver letters to the show. I remember being surprised when the village up the road got a mention one day. They did a live show from the Royal Bath & West Show one year. Chester was in a hand cart sealed in a protective bubble (probably to stop the kids from breaking him). Chester was LOUD! I was stood next to the cart and nearly got deafened when he started laughing.
HTV liked their puppets, I remember Annie St. John doing continuity and reading out kids letters with "Oscar", the world's most unconvincing owl puppet (it was on a stick in her hand). I was gutted when I heard she'd died. Then Alan Taylor went 7 years later and it was like my childhood died with him. As I put on the picture's mouseover note, best childrens presenter EVER!

Carryonsidney, the boy you're thinking of is the ghost of Matt the footman. Unlike the other ghosts he could leave the hall and venture into the grounds. The actor who played him was killed in a road accident 3 years after this series.
