Thanx mojofilter 4 checking. I saw MONO at the top of the front cover, so I was wondering if these were needle drops or not?!? I already have 4 of the five vinyl singles, and "Sock It To Me Santa" on this compilation, so I guess I won't invest in this one. It's also a kinda short album, total playing time around 25 minutes, but it's cool music 4 someone who is missing Seger's early recordings!!

I had a good look at the waveforms, and the songs are all vinyl transfers. They missed a couple of noises on the fade-outs of a few of them, and all appear to be gain-boosted and hard limited. Not egregiously, but the waveform is bigger than it should be. Still, it sounds OK for record transfers.

Kevin Walsh1, I own a copy of the single!! What is confusing 2 me is why it is in TWO parts, AND why Parts 1 and 2 are on different sides of the album?!?

I was thinking maybe if the producers had access 2 the master or session tapes, maybe the whole performance could be one continuous track OR at least both tracks could be 2gether on the same side of the record?!? But breaking it up on opposite sides of the album don't make good horse sense 2 ol' me...

Is any of this stuff mastered from tapes instead of needle drops?!? I hope this isn't a stupid question, but is any of this in true Stereo?!? And why is "Heavy Music" in 2 separate parts?!?
