beatcrazy 16th Nov 2013		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson - Blaze Of Glory (1989)	Perhaps a stupid question from a non-native English speaking person: Doesn't "banded" mean, that the songs fade into each other? That is the case with all the standard issues of this album "Blaze Of Glory". However, on this US promo (and also on this French promo-only LP) the songs are separated with a few seconds of silence inbetween and DON'T fade into each other. So I'd rather describe this as "non-banded" or "un-banded", but please correct me, if I'm wrong. Or is there a specific other term for this? Thanks.
beatcrazy 16th Nov 2013		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson - Blaze Of Glory (1989)	My copy of this record is pressed on heavy vinyl and came with an A4 sized A&M/Festival info sheet with an Australian Joe Jackson album discography on one side and video discography on the other.

And the New Zealand pressing seems to have a similar colour as well. I've seen quite a few records offered, that had the flyer included. But perhaps that was only the first run or so?

beatcrazy 1st Nov 2013		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson - Big World (1986)	This here must be the original Japanese first release, while the other one (C35Y3011) is the later reissue. I think there was a change at A&M Japan in 1986, that led to two releases from the same year. Also the single "Right & Wrong" from that album was released twice in Japan in 1986 with different catalogue numbers and picture sleeves.

I actually was already aware of that, thanks to your great contributions before on 45cat.com, but it's just too much to collect. I already do it for singles. And by the way, is there a general rule about which vinyl pressings are translucent? I found out, that many Joe Jackson US 7" and 12" pressings are.

beatcrazy 11th Oct 2013		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson Band - Beat Crazy (1980)	I have no clue, what (5) and (6) means, but I'd say, (5) is on side one and (6) on side two on both pressings. The same numbers on "Look Sharp!", while "I'm The Man" has only (5) on both sides. And writing this, I realize, that it could be the number of tracks on the sides! :-)

beatcrazy 10th Oct 2013		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson - Night And Day (1982)	The front cover sticker (which is missing on my copy) and the labels indicate, that the title of this classic album might be "Steppin' Out" in Taiwan... The cover is not a fold out sleeve, but my copy came with two lyric sheets, that look like copies from original inner cover.
beatcrazy 16th Sep 2013		Vinyl Album Joe Jackson - Laughter & Lust (1991)	The pictures show a German/European edition with the catalog number 211 413 (which is also part of the matrix number). I haven't compared it with a UK copy yet, but I'm sure this would look different, unless there was only just one pressing for all European countries, including Britain. We already had the label discussion in other worlds. I guess it's probably Virgin America. The record comes with a printed black & white inner sleeve with lyrics etc.

It's also recorded live in front of an audience, which was asked to keep quiet during the songs. And so on... Please, if you add an album here, share some more details!

Such a bad artwork, it seems to be some sort of counterfeit. The label could be read and is sometimes seen as "JL Records".
