Stan Kenton And His Orchestra - Stan Kenton's Milestones (1951)
Capitol [uk] was originally run by Decca at the beginning and then swapped hands to EMI in 1956. Therefore the purple EMI label & sleeve pictured here are post 1956. The black label typesetting is a Decca arrangement so I would guess that is the first press. My copy has a purple label with nearly the same design as the purple one above but made by Decca, my sleeve is Decca printed as well with a printers date of C.P. 56.6 (June 1956) so must be in the last batch before the switch. Its curious how EMI have duplicated Decca's layout instead of using Parlophone or Columbia as a base image?

The Pretty Things - Get The Picture? (1965)
I suspect this 1965 issue was Mono only, the album was reissued again in 1967 in the Netherlands with a different title and Mono/Stereo versions.

Mari Wilson With The Wilsations - Showpeople (1983)
The calender insert as mentioned on the sticker on the sleeve, is a triptych, each side being 10" square, the first 2 sheets is the (picture) calender and the 3rd sheet is an order form for merchandise. When you open it out flat the reverse side is blank.

Private Eye - Private Eye Presents Golden Satiricals (1981)
I have the other insert for this which doubles (triples) up as an inventory of details for the flexis - a spoof Private Eye issue and also the Promotional bit hence I can add the release date for this record.

Carl Perkins - Dance Album Of Carl Perkins (1959)
I paid a fiver today for a very beaten up original copy of this because it is so rare. I can just tell it had the usual London/Decca flip back sleeve with curved cutaways. The front is laminated the back isnt. Printers note is McN10.59 (October 1959), old style London logo, plum labels.

I have seen a Pye advert in a museum this week, dated for January 1957 so it was obviously selling well.

Red vinyl copies would be worth twice the black vinyl, at least I think.

Contains a superb sound a like version of "WAR", but also an unintentionally hilariously terrible version of "WU BAY TUESDAY"!

Iron Maiden - Piece Of Mind
This record label states made in the EEC which dates it to pre 1993? It can't be EU. I think the country here should actually be Germany not Europe.

Johnny Ace - A Memorial To Johnny Ace (1961)
Record probably issued in 1961.
Vogue images added, RC guide seems to put the Vocalion issue first but personally I think Vogue labels are first (1950s design) followed later 1960s label designs for Vocalion? Anyway sleeve on my copy is laminated front and back, shame it is pretty beaten up.
