dunk78 6th Dec 2020		Vinyl Album The Animals - The Animals (1964)	The Animals Love - Debut 1st LP – self titled – eponymous This was the debut album from 1964 by The Animals with Eric Burdon and it is very hard to find to find as the band was unknown and sold in small quantities as lps were very expensive and hard to afford for young people. This is the 1964 earliest original uk 1st press with the blue Columbia labels. It is the genuine article and in Mono! This is how you'd have heard it on pirate radio back in the 60's. Not many people had Stereo in those days. It definitely has a different sound and is mixed as it was originally planned to be. Mono was the main format of the day and so those mixes were done at separate sessions for each track. Mono was where all the work and time went and the Stereo mix was pretty much cobbled together as an afterthought.
