Focus B 26th Nov 2016		Vinyl Album Petula Clark - Petula Clark's Hit Parade (1966)	Rear of sleeve and labels uploaded. Only "2 Own" so far? One of the best compilations ever I think, Remained on catalogue into the '70s. I've seen stereo "Golden Hour" style blue and black label copies dating from the early '70s.

Focus B 26th Nov 2016		Vinyl Album Petula Clark - My Love (1966)	All copies I've seen including my own have older style PYE labels with the Pye logo at the left. Copies of "Kinda Kinks" and "Kontroversy" I've seen issued a year earlier have the modern style (at the time) labels with the Pye logo at the top.

Focus B 24th Nov 2016		Vinyl Album Petula Clark - Colour My World (1967)	Most copies I've seen have the original track listing. One mono copy I saw with the new had white stickers on the sleeve to conceal the original info so they must've used up existing sleeves before printing fresh ones.
Focus B 27th Sep 2016		Vinyl Album The Kinks - Golden Hour Of The Kinks (1971)	Just obtained a copy of this album to replace my 1977 purchased LP which was lost. The label is more non metalic golden in colour. The PYE matrix's are scratched out too. Side A has matrix GHS-2-A1RCA scratched out with the handwritten GH501-A1. Side B has matrix GHS-2-B1RCA scratched out with handwritten GH501-B1. Images of the "gold" labels uploaded. This excellent album introduced me to the world of their music. "Mr Pleasant" would've been a better choice in place of "Louie Louie", but otherwise most certainly, "The Best of The Kinks"
Focus B 25th Aug 2016		Vinyl Album Barclay James Harvest - Early Morning Onwards (1972)	This album also exists with a very basic red title on cream sleeve with a colour photo of the group on the reverse. Not sure which version came first. On this upload it's very unusual for a budget album to feature lyrics on the back.

Focus B 18th Aug 2016		Vinyl Album Yes - Yes (1972)	The copy I used to have had a new K cut yet side 2 was a Polydor original with added K catalogue number. Sleeve was K and labels the usual green and orange. The difference in sound quality between the two sides was startling. The new cut Side A was quite harsh and tinny. Side B was much warmer.

Focus B 10th Aug 2016		Vinyl Album Cat Stevens - The World Of Cat Stevens (1970)	I've seen copies with the Red Mono, Blue Stereo hole in the rear. By the issue date it would appear unlikely a mono version exists. "The World of Them" definitely exists in mono form however with a release date of October 1970, yet the catalogue number is the lower (S)PA 86.
Focus B 24th Jul 2016		Vinyl Album Neil Diamond - Neil Diamond	I have this double set with the "2" style labels. Interesting to note the two versions of "Solitary Man". A1 is the original mono single version. D6 is the stereo version with female backing vocals. Typically of compilations from the period the mono recordings are in hideously reprocessed stereo. Apart from that this is an excellent collection of his early work.
Focus B 21st Jun 2016		Vinyl Album Various Artists - 22 Dynamic Hits Vol II (1972)	I have this on 8-Track. T Rex Get it on is credited as Bang A Gong (Get it On) on that version, suggesting it originated from the US for the UK market.
Focus B 16th Jun 2016		Vinyl Album Various Artists - 20 Dynamic Hits (1972)	I note the instrumental version of "Softly Whispering I Love You" was the B-side of early copies of the original single which was quickly withdrawn. I can only guess the instrumental was included in error on first pressings of this excellent compilation. Having realised the error stickers were made to explain this. This was corrected on later pressings. Although the black label copies are clearly manufactured by the Gramophone Co. Ltd the inner groove matrix numbers look like CBS ones. The album was produced in association with CBS and EMI.
Focus B 13th Jun 2016		Vinyl Album Various Artists - 20 Dynamic Hits (1972)	Interesting discovery about this album. Came across a copy today with a sticker stating The Congregation's "Softly Whispering I Love You" is an instrumental version of the hit. I've never seen this before. Having already got an orange label copy of the album I knew the original single version was used in stereo, (Like Colin Blunstone's "Say You Don't Mind" the original UK 45 is mono but included on this album in stereo). I had to buy this as it was only £1 out of curiosity. This black and silver labelled copy which is titled Twenty Dynamic Hits does indeed play an instrumental version with choir only.To double check I played my existing copy which has the single version! This instrumental version copy has the matrix WSR 972/TE 292 A1 and WSR 972/TE 292 B1. My existing orange label copy has matrixes WSR972/TE 292 A3 and WSR 972 B4. The black and silver label copies appear to be pressed by The Gramophone Co Ltd, the orange label version by CBS.
Focus B 29th May 2016		Vinyl Album The Moody Blues With The London Festival Orchestra - Days Of Future Passed (1967)	Recently obtained a copy with the original banded sleeve yet with smaller red DSS labels suggesting late 1969 onwards. Matrix's end 3W both sides. Has the original mix of "Twilight Time".

Focus B 15th Apr 2016		Vinyl Album Various Artists - El Pea (1971)	Used to have a copy of this. I seem to recall D2 was listed as, "One of These Things First" on both label and sleeve yet played, "Northern Sky". Don't know if this was corrected on later copies.

Focus B 9th Mar 2016		Vinyl Album Them - The World Of Them (1970)	Just spotted the 1970 date on the rear sleeve. The labels uploaded look like full sized Phonogram ones. Think they took over distributing Decca material around the end of the '70s.

Focus B 27th Feb 2016		Vinyl Album Renaissance - A Song For All Seasons (1978)	One album I wanted but didn't buy until 10 years ago. Mint buff label copy. Unlike my UK issue of "Novella" it's a superb pressing. A truly superb album.
