Fokeman 24th Apr 2024		Vinyl Album [no artist listed] - Exotic Dances (1950)	I'm now dubious of this 1950 date. That was probably an earlier 78rpm issue. This is more likely to date from quite a bit later as a 33 1/3rpm issue.
Fokeman 24th Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Uncle Dave Macon - Uncle Dave Macon (1963)	A later issue exists with a blue cover and blue label. This newer issue has a 1967 publishing date on the label.

Fokeman 28th Mar 2024		Vinyl Album The Melbourne Church Of England Girl's Grammar School - Christmas Vesper 1962 (1962)	The reason why it was not listed on the label was that this was a very limited run or even a one-off (probably the former) in order to celebrate the event by saving it for posterity. There are a few others on the labell like this with a SCO number rather than a POL number. The POL number was used for records which were mass produced (well produced in larger numbers at least) for the general market. The shop in which the Score label was based also provided an acetate-making service using metal centred acetates with a one off recording. You could use it to send messages of love or produce songs or demos to be used in marketing or just for fun. These could be either one-sided or two-sided and have a rather pungent smell as the acetate material is rather volatile.

Fokeman 4th Mar 2024		Vinyl Album Clear Blue Sky - Clear Blue Sky (1970)	Thanks. I did check yesterday and it certainly says "The Rocket Ride" on my French copy. I'll update images asap. The "Play it Loud" tagline is entirely absent from the French issue, appearing neither on the spine nor on the label.
Fokeman 3rd Mar 2024		Vinyl Album Clear Blue Sky - Clear Blue Sky (1970)	The Rocked Ride is as it appears on the label. However I suspect that (as with the UK issue) it should have actually said "The Rocket Ride".

This later label is round about 1980 when a whole slew of black label vertigo / transatlantic / logo / various other polygram labels came out with the same black painted labels with silver text.
Fokeman 1st Mar 2024		Vinyl Album Bill Haley And His Comets - Bill Haley And His Comets (1966)	This is NOT on the Transatlantic label. It is on the XTRA label. It is certainly true that XTRA belonged to Transatlantic but it had a very different profile and exists in its own right in the database.
Fokeman 29th Feb 2024		Vinyl Album Joe Cahill - Ireland's 32 And Other Irish Favourites (1960)	I'm trying to find out the explanation for the existence of this record with the catalogue number 1018 when nothing exists between 1012 and 1018. Any information would be most welcome. Were there plans for five other releases which never saw the light of day? I don't think it's the case but were the other intervening numbers ever actually issued? 1013, 1014, 1015, 1016 & 1017?
