gregs45s SUBS 11th Aug 2024		Vinyl Album The Blue Diamonds - Wiedersehen Mit Den (1961)	The inside of the gatefold matches the Decca LZ 80402 release exactly apart from image 3324030 on that release where the Decca logo is where the Fontana logo is here. Poster matches image 3324031 on that release also.

gregs45s SUBS 29th Jul 2024		Vinyl Album Chicory Tip - Son Of My Father (1972)	With a nod to hedgehopperray, a scan of the hype sticker on the front which is actually on the card sleeve, not on the outer cellophane. (just noticed, the sticker i've added is from the '72 re-release with "What's My Name" which replaced "Excuse Me Baby", so, not sure if you want it here, although it's the same Cat No. but one track different (perhaps warranting a seperate entry?)

The codes are intended to distinctly identify different record labels in order to take radio airplay into account of the right labels. It is important to note that the codes are unique to the label and not the release, and that they should not be confused with Catalog numbers. Label codes are typically found on the back of the release and/or on the media itself. The current label code format consists of five digits, however, you may find four-digit codes on older releases which were issued under the previous system. All codes which were previously four digits have been extended to five digits by adding a preceding zero. For example, you may find either LC 0199 or LC 00199 on releases issued by Epic Records. " This page from rateyourmusic is helpful, and worth bookmarking to ID what label is what. if you click on the number ranges LC00001 - LC00999 you will find LC00392 which is the code for Warner Bros./Giant/Opal/Paisley Park.
gregs45s SUBS 1st Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Aphrodite's Child - Aphrodite's Child (1976)	With a nod to Vinyllover i've added a reissue, with red labels, a retail price code (IM01), and a change of label address. Datewise.... The earliest we have with the red labels/black centre on this site is 1975, whereas the earliest i can see on Discogs with that label is 1978, they appear to go to around 1984 (Impact). So, late 70's to early 80's by the looks of it.

gregs45s SUBS 20th Mar 2024		Vinyl Album Sleaford Mods - UK Grim (2023)	With a nod to Bodston, i've added a scan of the front still in the outer cellophane, with the "Limited Edition" sticker and "Sleaford Mods" on a clear sticker (under "UK GRIM"), which, strangely, you lose when you take the cellophane off. Also added a detail scan of the barcode sticker on the back which is also on the outer cellophane. Was lucky to get a large 5 foot by 3 foot poster with my copy (same as image 3236917) Indie Stores Exclusive.

Although the piano is to the fore, close your eyes and it could be early Jarre. Nowadays could be considered early electronic/ambient/chill.

gregs45s SUBS 26th Sep 2023		Vinyl Album Lazar Berman - The Legendary Lazar Berman Plays Liszt (1976)	A curious one, this was a joint release by Columbia and the Russian label Мелодия (Melodiya), but, for some reason the album artwork was printed with "Columbia / Melodiya" (a mistake in the first place??), which has then had every mention of "Columbia" subsequently covered over with "CBS" stickers, even to the point of using a marker to cross out the smallprint on the back. This is the first time i've come across these circular "CBS" stickers on a label, here's what the normal labels and cover looked like I've added all three labels here, but, if you want to change it to just "CBS / Melodiya" that's fine too

Unsure of country and can't find any info on label, a brief search online hasn't revealed any useful info. There's very little to go on in the Matrix, just "CMB 7004 A" / "CMB 7004 B". It has 4 extra tracks tagged on to the end of the standard UK running order, noticeably without composers. I wonder if it might be some kind of contemporary boot?
