The band at a certain moment demanded a guarantee of 50.000 $ a show. They decided it would be in their best interest to formalize their relationship, and so formed "Gort Functions". "Gort functions" reads the agreement, will provide all services and equipment necessary for the public personal appearance of the CCR as singers and entertainers. The partners included John, Tom,Doug,Stu and road manager Bruce Young. The company is named after the robot in the classic movie "the day the earth stood still".
