MIRUMIR is the largest domestic vinyl publisher and the only Russian record label specializing in publishing music specifically on vinyl records. For several years, the publishing house "MIRUMIR" has been releasing from seven to ten releases a month - not all European publishing companies with a similar specialization, especially independent ones, can boast of such a pace of work.
Having extensive experience in reprinting archived musical material on vinyl, the publishing team has been releasing albums of different years and different musical styles.
More attention is paid to the publication of the Russian local repertoire. In December 2011, our ambitious program of re-editions of full or partial back catalogs of domestic performers started, including such not the last names of our rock scene as CHAIF, Mumiy Troll, Valery Syutkin ... Moreover, the team of the MIRUMIR publishing house understands “ reprint ”not at all as a vinyl replica of a program that existed on a different physical medium, but, in many cases, as the first physical edition of such a domestic phenomenon as a magnetic album. This is an example of two albums by Vladimir Kuzmin and the group "Dynamics" in 1982 and the historical, without exaggeration, the album "Banana Islands" (1983) of the project "Chernavsky / Matetsky". We see one of our most important tasks to convey to the music lover and collector those musical programs that in the first half of the 80s did not pass or even could not pass the artistic council of the All-Union Recording Company "Melodia" - and it was on the medium that was in circulation in those years.
Along with the loud Russian names, the MIRUMIR catalog also contains albums by little-known Russian young musicians, such as Yakov Krivitsky, Skafandr, NRKTK. Such projects are very interesting for our company - the publisher is always pleased to find something really new and talented. Publishing music on a vinyl record is not a cheap pleasure these days, even for large record companies, so this area is characterized by a careful selection of musical material even among popular music, not to mention novice artists. Therefore, any such publication immediately attracts the attention of the public: if it is on vinyl - therefore, it is certainly worth attention. Young musicians should pay attention to this, especially since sales of vinyl as a musical medium are growing in our country every year.
A special place in the catalog is occupied by albums that are very dear to the heart of the Russian music lover - re-releases of classic disco music of the 70s and 80s, such as Savage, Arabesque, Silent Circle, Video Kids, Koto and many others.
We do not forget that the cover of the gramophone record was called its “third party” 30 years ago - and we perfectly understand that for a true collector, the design of the cover of the vinyl edition of the album and all sorts of pleasant additions to it - for example, text inserts - is no less important than the sound carrier. And, of course, great artwork enhances the collectibility of the vinyl. The works of our designers invariably deserve the highest marks of the artists working with MIRUMIR, and among them there are many who remember the times of the first triumph of the vinyl album. The publishing house is especially proud of the sound of our records. All albums released on the label undergo special mastering, many records have been carefully restored by our specialists.
The MIRUMIR publishing house has a lot of friends outside of Russia. These are both record companies and distributors in Europe, the USA and Japan. The constant exchange of experience helps a lot to organize the work as efficiently as possible. In addition to hundreds of stores in Russia from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, MIRUMIR editions can be found in many vinyl shops abroad and on foreign online trading platforms. And the editors of our publishing house have the opportunity and are always glad to "promote" a high-quality musical project of domestic origin to the Western music market.

Billy [William Moses] Roberts [Jr.] (b. 1936, Greenville, SC) is an American songwriter and musician credited with composing the 1960's rock standard Hey Joe, the best known version of which is by The Jimi Hendrix Experience).

Roberts was a relatively obscure California based folk singer, guitarist and harmonica player who performed on the West Coast coffee-house circuit in the late 1950's and early 1960's. He registered Hey Joe for copyright in the U.S. in 1962. Roberts later recorded the country rock album Thoughts of California with the band Grits in San Francisco in 1975, produced by Hillel Resner.

Billy Roberts is believed by many to be a plagiarist when it comes to his "authorship" of "Hey Joe."

In the 1950's Roberts arrived in NYC with no place to live. Established West Village folk singer Niela Miller took him in and they became a couple. She taught him all of her original songs, including her coffeehouse favorite, "Baby, Don't Go To Town." When the two split up Roberts took her aforementioned song, changed the lyrics, (keeping the q & a form), called it "Hey Joe" & copyrighted it solely under his own name.

Niela Miller was well known in the folk community for her song, "Baby, Don't Go To Town," so when Roberts' version, "Hey Joe" started showing up on recordings in the 60's with his name as sole composer on it, folk music royalty, Pete Seeger offered to testify on behalf of Niely in a copyright suit against Roberts for plagiarism. Sadly, the expense of a lawsuit of this kind was far too much for Niela, so she ended up just watching her ex get rich off this song of hers that he remodeled and called his own.
Several things about this “Hey Joe” have led people to question whether Roberts really wrote it. Because it draws on so many well-established song conventions, the song seems considerably older than the date of the copyright. And some observers claim that Roberts has not been consistent in explaining how he wrote the song.
