robozuc 3rd Jul 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - In The Beginning Tommy Steele (1988) | I was fixing the "Miro" artist names on the database, now we have Miro [Denmark] a techno, house and trance DJ and producer duo; Miro [Brazil] latin, samba, dance...;
Mirò from UK created by Roddy Harris (Troubadour Club, Earls Court, London)
so I found two decent images of the album cover.

robozuc 19th May 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumRavi Shankar - Three Ragas (1967) | @Kevin Walsh 1
I apologize for the distracting error, probably the effects of Saturday night :)
Anyway, so many albums in 1967! We need to investigate a little more, keep us updated if you discover something new, bye.

robozuc 18th May 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumRavi Shankar - Three Ragas (1967) | Originally published in 1956 on Master's Voice ALPC 7 (UK mono)
The first Stereo version appears in 1967 on Pacific World Rec. WPS-21438 (USA stereo)
and Capitol DT 2720 "Duophonic" Stereo.
I don't know if there are months between the releases of the stereo versions but this detail doesn't seem so important to me.

robozuc 18th May 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumRavi Shankar - Music Of India (1957) | Originally published in 1956 on Master's Voice ALPC 7 (UK mono)
|
robozuc 18th May 2024 | | Vinyl AlbumRavi Shankar - The Sounds Of India (1968) | It was released as part of Columbia Records' series entitled "Adventures in Sound" which was begun in 1958 ostensibly as part of Columbia's celebrations of the 10th anniversary of their introduction of the LP. This series was one of the first to be devoted to world music on a major record label. Capitol Records would eventually produce a similar series entitled "Capitol of the World" featuring several reissues of EMI India titles.
The album was recorded in New York in 1957 and produced by noted producer George Avakian (uncredited). It was released as an LP in 1958. There have been multiple reissues and cover art changes but this is the earliest available edition.
This edition was "Electronically Re-Channeled" for Stereo in 1968.
