smashitup 11th Jul 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Kinks - Then Now And Inbetween (1969) | In 1977 a DJ came into our store (Blue Meannie in El Cajon, Ca.) with a box of 24 of these LPs. Said he found them in a back room at the station he worked at. I don't remember the station. He wanted a buck apiece for them. We gladly paid him his asking price. Ended up selling or trading them in Europe & England in about 6 months. Wish I had kept one for myself. Mitch

smashitup 15th Jan 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumElvis Costello - Live At The El Mocambo (1978) | Bootlegs are printed on thin cardboard stock. Real promos are thicker cardboard. On the label of the bootleg on the CBS credit writing around the bottom of the label the CBS logo is filled in. Also the vinyl is more light weight. Bootlegs cost about $4 each wholesale in 1978-9. I had two boxes and sold them in my store. I kept one. I've only ever seen a few originals for sale on Ebay over the years. This looks like a bootleg pictured.
