Biography - Acorn UK The brainchild of Colin Sanders. It began life as Zeus with the CF 201 record being "Live At Towersey". Sanders worked in the outskirts of Oxford and recorded choirs, large organs and a selection of folk singers and cabaret artists. He was a technical wizard and was capable of designing and building his own recording equipment, an industry which, eventually he followed to great success with solid-state recording equipment. He died in a helicopter crash, having already made a huge mark on the local music industry and on the whole world as far as his technical discoveries and designs were concerned. The Acorn label eventually ceased to produce recordings and the folk musicians Leon Rosselson & Roy Bailey kept the pattern of catalogue numbering when they continued to record under the Fuse label name. Previous Acorn records by these artists simply became Fuse Records issues with the same catalogue numbers and a changed label name. « Discography Edit This Biography : Biography Credits
