Biography - Clymax

Chester, Pennsylvania-based record label owned by Bill Haley. Established in 1958, the label released a number of non-charting singles in 1958-59 and one full-length LP (Our Gal Sal by Sally Starr). Many recordings on Clymax featured members of Haley's band the Comets as session musicians (most notably the Starr album, most of which was written by either Haley or members of the Comets). In 1959 the label folded; some leftover recordings were later issued on the Arcade label.
