Biography - D.T.S    UK

D.T.S should really appear as D.T.S. (as it does on the back of the sleeves) but it seems more symmetrical on the label to omit the last full stop so D.T.S it is.

It stands for Davies Transcription Services and was run by Sean Davies. They only issued a handful of records and the LFX series was almost entirely for the EFDSS. The last LP in this series was a reissue of a Folk-Legacy recording and the first was "Below Decks" by Cyril Tawney. Other recordings such as an LP by the McPeake Family of Belfast and the LP by The Copper Family of Rottingdean had more complicated stories. The latter was actually issued by the EFDSS as part of their historical series so the allocated number was never used. Harry Cox was the only other artist to be recorded and appear in this series on the label.
