Re-issue of the 1970 UK Harvest release with cat# SHVL 765. This copy also carries the cat# SHVL 765 on the reproduction labels and back sleeve artwork. The spine has only the Parlophone cat# 0825646310791 and this number also appears on the labels.

| | There was a test before Phil, how did I go? Also Parlophone now own all of Bowie's RCA output and this 2016 release of "Aladdin Sane" with cat# 0825646289431 is an example of their numbering system that usually is accompanied with a matching barcode as is the case here. You'll also note that this copy of "The Madcap Laughs" has had the references to EMI removed from all the artwork (ie. above the Harvest logo on the front cover) and label text. |

| | For the benefit of anyone confused by these label shenanigans:
The Parlophone label, trademark owned by Parlophone Records Limited (a Warner Music UK company) is frequently used by Universal Music for Beatles (group and solo) reissues.
The Harvest label, trademark owned by EMI (IP) Limited (a subsidiary of Universal Music) is frequently used by Parlophone Records Limited/Warner Music UK for various reissues.
Try and absorb all this, as there will be a test later! |

| | Alright, Gonzoid, I'm happy with that but you will need to disown this copy and own the Parlophone / Harvest copy. Then we can let the Modlords weave their magic and make this one disappear in smoke. Which reminds me.... |

| | Yes I agree it should be merged under the Parlophone / Harvest banner - you're right it's a really nice reissue, nicely pressed vinyl and really nice sleeve. |

| | Hey Gonzoid, no problems but how's that? We would have both put these up around the same time and both entered them differently but I've sent corrections and we'll just have to see what the MODS think. I think our copies should be merged under the Parlophone / Harvest banner rather than merged to the UK 1970 Harvest original which also has the SHVL 765 cat#. The real cat# on our copies is 0825646310791 as that is on the spine so I think we need to keep these away from the original release entry. It's a very nice pressing, well mine is, how's yours? |

| | Hi Lee sorry about that I only put it on yesterday and as I use an iPad I didn't know how to see the URL - I've now googled it so I can and will link any other stuff I put on
Cheers |

| | This album is the same as this album already listed on the site but this album is not linked to the other titles on the site. I'm not sure when Gonzoid uploaded this version but if this album were to be correctly listed this way it should be added to the 1970 UK Harvest release with cat# SHVL 765. I believe otherwise though as you can see on my entry (linked above). Either way this entry needs to either be merged to my entry or both need to be merged to the original UK 1970 release. As I said on my entry this one is a tricky customer. I missed seeing this one when I entered my as it was not linked to any other copies on the site and is listed differently to how I chose to enter the same album. Correction sent. |

| | I'm not sure if I've done the right thing here with the label but this has proved to be quite a tricky entry for me. If anyone's got any other ideas on how to list this let me know. I've scanned the spine and enlarged the fine print to make sure all the data is on the page but this one is listed as a Harvest release on some sites but to me it bears more similarities to a modern Rhino release like this copy of Love's "Forever Changes". |
