| | Lovely to see the artist notices in the Free Reed editions, giving personal addresses and phone numbers of many now-famous musicians
There doesn't seem to be any page on the Concertina Museum website that links to the magazine, but Google manages to find a few |

| | To clarify things, 'Free Reed' was the later name for Neil Wayne's 'The Concertina Newsletter' from Issue No.12 in May 1973. (See No.1 as PDF). The magazine expanded to include a list of records of interest for sale, which became a public record sales outlet, and eventually produced its own records (see Free Reed) |

| | If memory serves, at the time of this issue Free Reed wasn't a label at all but a magazine for Concertina enthusiasts. It was only a while later that Free Reed began releasing their own records. The label took off, financed from the sale of cut-throat razors, I believe. |

| | These recordings were later reused by Free Reed and put out on a CD series. Some other recordings which originally appeared on Topic were also reissued by Free Reed such as the Russell Family of Doolin, County Clare.
This particular record was part of a series of 6 which all focused on Concertina music. |
