| Fokeman 13th Sep 2024 | Little Pot Stove was originally "Wee Pot Stove" and was written by Harry Robertson for his LP "Whale Chasing Men". Nic Jones did not claim songwriting credit but allocated it Copyright Control "C.C.". probably because he didn't know who wrote it at the time. Likewise he did not credit himself or "Trad. Arr." for "Farewell To The Gold" which was written by Australian Paul Metsers, a wonderful songwriter, who performed it himself on one of his several LPs. | |

I was lucky to see Jones playing a gig at a folk club in a notorious pub shortly before his car accident All the tracks are wonderful, a strong favourite being The Little Pot Stove which includes the phrase "Penguin Eggs" | |
