This disc of 33.33 rpm is the first of which Brother Jack McDuff, who was an organist and an organ trio bandleader, and David "Fathead" Newman, a jazz and rhythm and blues saxophonist who was a sideman for Ray Charles until 1963, had both collaborated with their diverse music styles into an old -style jazz for that was chiefly aimed at the listeners who had thought that such jazz style was completely obsolete.

Finally, this was the third-to-last Atlantic disc of 33.33 rpm of the Atlantic Jazz Series that was both monaurally and stereofonically issued to the record shops in the United States.
