Following the 1970 takeover of MGM Records by Polydor, Phonogram Recordings Pty Limited shortened its name to Phonogram Pty Limited. Prior to the transfer of all popular MGM material to Polydor, the company issued just one album on MGM, with the remainder on budget labels Metro and Karussell.

The above album was simultaneously released on MC MGM 3110 082.

The above album is an original compilation and should not be confused with the similarly titled US collection on Polydor 831 699-1 released in 1987. It was programmed as a companion volume to MGM SE 4167 THE VERY BEST OF CONNIE FRANCIS CONNIE'S 15 BIGGEST HITS! which had been locally pressed by Phonogram Recordings Pty Ltd.
