Notes Phonogram Pty Ltd release Metro Label The budget Metro label, which had been launched by MGM Records in the US in 1965, made its overseas debut when reactivated by Polydor in Germany in June 1972. From a chronological point of view, it would appear to have replaced the Karussell label on which Phonogram had marketed its earlier budget Connie Francis releases. The above release officially replaced the original US CONNIE'S GREATEST HITS compilation first issued by EMI on MGM 02 7564 and subsequently by Phonogram Recordings Pty Ltd on MGM (S) 1006. Images
