I wonder why Magic Bus is in reprocessed stereo on this album when a true stereo version was available on the US Magic Bus LP?
It's a different recording to the original mono 45 too.
2 more versions of the inner sleeve details added.
Image 97007, 1st sleeve, with no Production credits, and no Stereo text.
Image 97008, 2nd sleeve, stickered revised production credits, and stereo details.
It's the old 'Railway Hotel' Pub near Harrow & Wealdstone' station, which is where they used to be regulars in 1964. The doorway shot is one of the derelict houses near there. They're both gone now, a block of flats is where the Pub is.
The Boys on the cover are from Gainsborough Road School, in West Ham, East London, and are as follows, from left to right starting from the back, Fred Davis, John Lee (His nickname was 'titch', even at 10 he looked about 7, sadly died at 18 Y's.O.), Warren Arnold, and Paul Curbishley, Manager Bill Curbishley's younger Half-Brother, who also had a part in the film 'Quadrophenia'. I used to go to the same school, and was there the day they picked the boys, at school assembly.
Inner sleeve variation added (producer credits),i think there are other differences, but i can't quite make them out, perhaps when goodbear66 has time he/she could re-scan just the inner gatefold left side?.The rest of the album and labels match images : 2379/2494/13278/13279.
Alternative Side 1 and 2 images uploaded (i.e. track layout and no "Enhanced Stereo" on Side 1). Side 1 has Porky and Side 2 Pecko in the Run off. It should also be noted that I'm A Boy on Side 2 of this image upload plays a longer version (Stereo 3:38) with minor lyric and fairly major arrangement changes. Both UK and US original 45 releases are 2.34 in length.
