The above album was issued in a series titled "EDITION" and released after the abortive POLYDOR 2475 731 EINE INSEL FUR ZWEI...CONNIE FRANCIS: IHRE 20 GROSSTEN HITS. As well as sharing the same title song, all remaining 11 titles appear on both compilations. At one stage it had been suggested that this set might make a suitable TV-promotion alternative. Sleeve picture, from the session which produced the cover shot to USA LP MGM SE 4637 THE WEDDING CAKE, went on to become one of the most widely used in Germany.
