Hi Steve, I think this would be between 1970 and 1972; no earlier than 1970, because that was the year that the PolyGram labels adopted this 7-digit numbering system, and no later than 1972, when Verve's parent MGM Records was sold to PolyGram (who already distributed them internationally) due to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc.'s near-bankruptcy, so the record company credit changd from "MGM Records, a division of Metro-Goldwyn Mayer, Inc." to "MGM Records, Inc". (This might still be a little bit later than 1972, though, if Polydor had label blanks to use up!) As to how French records ended up in a German box, well... I wonder if either the records or the box/booklet are replacements of damaged originals?
