Notes This disc of 33.33 rpm was meant for listeners who tremendously enjoy the sound of guitars. For example, the Barclay Stars are comprised of five guitarists who sound their guitars in the trumpet, trombone and saxophone parts of a conventional orchestra. The Barclay Stars perform unique renditions of tunes of Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Woody Herman that sound so modern that conventional orchestras are likely to envy such talent. Sophisticated Lady and Take The A Train were orchestrated for this disc of 33.3 rpm by trumpet player Fernand Verstraete. All the tunes were recorded in France by five renowned guitarists who are Francis Le Mageur (the musical director), Pierre Cullaz, Raymond Gimenes, Paul Piguillem and Victor Apicella. Images
