Notes

Frank Hubbell, who was the leader and trumpet player of the Stompers, had tremendous experience in performing dixieland music despite the fact that such music was outdated almost forty years in 1966. For example, Mr. Hubbell had established and conducted a renowned folk-dixie combo in 1964 and had departed from that band earlier in 1966 so that Mr. Hubbell had founded the Stompers band of dixieland musicians.

Despite the fact that this disc of 33.33 rpm was not a commercial success, Mr. Hubbell and his band members put a tremendous amount of work to develop a new style of Dixieland music just to see if this group could gain the respect of Dixieland music listeners.
