Notes

When Mr. Otis Redding professionally began to record music, he did so in 1960 with the Shooters and in 1961 with the Pinetoppers who had a disc of 45 rpm that was issued in 1962 with Shout Bamalama b/w Fat Gal. Later that year Mr. Redding had signed a recording contract with Volt records from which These Arms Of Mine b/w Hey Hey Baby, his first Volt disc of 45rpm, was issued.

All the tunes of this disc of 33.33 rpm were previously issued by means of Volt discs of 45 rpm between the years 1962 and 1966. Additionally, some songs, such as Respect, Satisfaction, I've Been Loving You Too Long and Try A Little Tenderness were played at the Monterrey Pop Music Festival in June 1967. Besides some of the composed tunes of Mr. Redding, such as Can't Turn You Loose, Respect and Security were later popularized by various artists, such as the Chamber Brothers, Aretha Franklin and Etta James.

Although this was the final Volt disc of 33.33 rpm that was issued before Mr. Redding died in an airplane crash in December 1967, this was the penultimate disc of 33.33 rpm that was monaurally issued.
