This album was simultaneously released on CD (see Mercury Latino 839 924-2) and MC (see Mercury Latino 839 922-40.

All tracks on this album are the entire collection of SPANISH & LATIN AMERICAN FAVORITES originally intended for MGM SE 3853, but which subsequently appeared without the inclusion of AMOR and AQUELLOS OJOS VERDES (Green Eyes). Both these tracks made their US debut on this release, as did TU AMOR (La Paloma in Spanish).

All 15 of these tracks were produced by Normal Newell at EMI Abbey Road Studios, London on July 2, 4, & 6, 1960.
