This album was simultaneously released on CD (see Mercury Latino 839 924-2) and MC (see Mercury Latino 839 923-4) and is a companion set to the preceding 839 922-1.
A1: A4: & A5: GRACIAS, LA GENTE, and YO SE, all recorded on July 5th, 1963 made their US debuts on this album, as did A6: LA PALOMA (Portuguese version) recorded on May 29th, 1962, B4: POR UNA RAZON recorded on June 16th, 1964 and B5: SIMBA recorded March 24trh, 1965.
Both the Spanish version of A3: LET'S MAKE IT LOVE TONIGHT (TE PUEDES IR DESPUES), and Portuguese version B1: VAMOS AMAR ESTA NOITE were released for the first time here. These two selections and the English version were among the few 1980's recordings to be marketed by PolyGram.
B3: NOCHES ESPANOLAS Y TU is a 1989 composite remix of SPANISH NIGHTS AND YOU from differing takes recorded on May 9th, 1967. SPANISH NIGHTS AND YOU (English and Spanish version) had first been released on the single MGM K 13610 coupled with INVIERNO TRISTE on the singles MGM K 14089 and MGM LA 3007. These can all be found within the 45cat site by doing searches on the appropriate catalog numbers mentioned.
A2: LA NOVIA has been culled from MGM SE 4298 CONNIE FRANCIS SINGS THE ALL TIME INTERNATIONAL HITS and B6: LA BAMBA from MGM SE 4411 CONNIE FRANCIS LIVE AT THE SAHARA IN LAS VEGAS.
