Front of sleeve reads: 'Old Time Tunes recorded 1927-1931'

Sleeve list of songs includes B4 'In The Woodpile' but the label reads 'Nigger In The Woodpile'. The liner notes by Norm Cohen does mention the original name of the song: "Dan Emmett wrote a minstrel banjo piece entitled 'Nigger In The Woodpile' in 1845. Whether this was the origin of the popular expression or preceded by it, I don't know. A descendant of the Irish air 'Bonaparte Crossing The Alps' has also been found in America with this title. The Skillet Lickers tune, along with other hillbilly recordings, seems to be related to neither of the above pieces."
