Notes

Although the Amboy Dukes was established in 1964, this group did not become commercially prosperous until their debut disc of 33.33 rpm was issued in early 1968. At this point, the band members were Ted Nugent, the lead guitarist and vocalist, John Drake, another vocalist, Steve Farmer, a guitarist and vocalist, Dave Palmer, the drummer, Rick Lober, the organist and Bill White, the bass player and vocalist.

While four tunes were composed and performed by other artists, seven tunes were original compositions that were penned by various members of this band. Furthermore, their most well-known tune was Journey To The Center Of The Mind, which was a national success that peaked at number 16 by means of the Billboard hit parade singles and at number 20 by means of the Cash Box hit parade singles.

Though Ted Nugent remained for the entire duration of the Amboy Dukes, the only other original member who remained with this band after 1969 was Dave Palmer. After the demise of this band, Mr. Nugent not only became a successful solo artist for many years, but he also became a political activist who strongly believed in and encouraged all to maintain the basic US constitutional principles, such as freedom of speech and the right to own a gun to protect oneself that have maintained one's freedom for over two centuries.

In the United States, this was the only Mainstream disc of 33.33 rpm that was both monaurally and stereofonically issued to the record shops. However, the Journey To The Center Of The Mind disc LP was monaurally issued but only shipped to radio station personnel. On the other hand, both the Journey To The Center Of The Mind and Migration discs of 33.33 rpm were both monaurally and stereofonically released to the record shops in the United Kingdom.
