ppint. ● 28th Sep 2019		oddly, this uk lp is declared to be stereo - but both labels quote/ref the merkin columbia mono cat#. . . the date of the particular copy shown in the images of sleeve & labels is liable to be ~1968-70, as the black-on-gold label declaring its stereophonicity, and the boxed advice that cbs stereophonic albums are playable upon modern monophonic equipment both belong to the period cbs uk started phasing out mono (except for certain historic recordings not made in stereo).

George Slv 21st Nov 2014		It has always bothered me that they left out Five Brothers. That's one of his best songs. It charted somewhat. The other side was Ride Cowboy Ride, which is nothing. Sometimes it seems like there's a reaction against the best.



PhilMH 18th Oct 2014		Probably 1962 for the first CBS issue of this (1961 issue was on Fontana), as there was no CBS label in the UK before '62. This copy looks like it is from later in the 60's, as the original catalogue number prefix would have been SBPG and not just S.
