 c.o.sidney: your copy should have a letter "s" close to the cat# on the labels on both sides, and also close to the matrix numbers printed on the labels (i'm fairly sure all copies of the cbs album postdate the variations upon the bpg (mono) and sbpg (stereo) prefixes - well actually, yr hmbl srppnt.'s certain they do - "but, at least in theory, i could be wrong. . .")

- if the matrix numbers were identical on the mono & stereo releases, either both'd've in fact been mono, or both'd've been stereo.°

° - and whilst cbs moved fairly rapidly to releasing only stereo lps (where they weren't for historical reasons recordings only ever available in mono) - for a while advising they were "stereo - playable mono on modern record-players with suitable lightweight cartridges" (or whatever the standard rubric was), i don't believe they ever claimed the stereo-only copies were mono by putting mono labels on 'em and shipping them in mono-emblazoned lp sleeves. . .

 This has one of those gatefold sleeves where you pull the record out from the inside. Also my copy which has this cat has a "STEREO" sticker on back sleeve.
